It was a night to remember fallen heroes and outstanding servicemen and women from the Armed Forces.
But while most of the VIPs opted for demure black outfits for the do, Geri Halliwell was clearly not in the mood for playing it safe.

Instead, the former Spice Girl spiced up the red carpet in a form-fitting fuchsia Herve Leger Body-con Bandage Dress last night.

Standing out: Geri Halliwell turned heads in a fuchsia Herve Leger dress at the Sun Military Awards at London's Imperial War Museum last night

She teamed the standout look with a dramatic white faux fur scarf, which she draped seductively over her shoulders.
Geri also had another accessory on her arm - her millionaire lover Henry Beckwith, who looked delighted to be with his belle of the ball.

Geri, 37, was joined by the likes of her one-time bandmate Emma Bunton at the Sun Military Awards, which was also attended by Princes William and Harry.
It's a sheer thing: Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh left little to the imagination as her black dress turned sheer under the bright camera flashes

Demure: Geri's former bandmate Emma Bunton played it safe in a black dress, as did GMTV presenter Kate Garraway
Former Hear'Say bandmates Kym Marsh and Myleene Klass also made a show and like Emma, they too slipped into black outfits.
Princes Williams and Harry arrived at London's Imperial War Museum smartly dressed in double-breasted dinner jackets and black bow ties.

Those celebrated at the bash include servicemen and women who have made outstanding contributions, individuals who have worked tirelessly to support the Armed Forces and those who merit special commendation from the judges.

Princes William and Harry arrived at the event in smart double-breasted dinner jackets and bow ties

The event was hosted by This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield and Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden.

The Princes, both training to become military helicopter pilots, told The Sun newspaper earlier this month: 'We are both looking forward to the second Sun Military Awards.

'The Millies are tremendously worthwhile - giving well-deserved recognition to the Armed Forces.'

Dame Kelly Holmes and Jenni Falconer were other famous faces who leant their support to the event which honours military heroes

Tory leader David Cameron and his wife Samantha

They added: 'The men and women the Millies will recognise represent only the tip of the iceberg of all that the Armed Forces have accomplished at home and abroad this year.'
William has recently completed his year-long advanced helicopter course and will now be training at RAF Valley on Anglesey where his skills will be honed to turn him into an RAF search and rescue pilot.

Harry is also training to become an Army helicopter pilot.
Other famous guests included England manager Fabio Capello, Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand and boxer Joe Calzaghe.
